can't see published course on browser

Hi all!
i have some problems in publishing course (both for CD and LMS).
I follow the sequence (runtime settings of the module and the course, and then wizard). But when i try to open autorun.html file, in the browser, i see just an empty white window! []
It happens to me also when i download module from "How To's" section. I cannot see anything on the browser!

Maybe is there something wrong with my browser?
Or is there something that i have to set f.e. in runtime settings?
I'm working on a Mac, with VMware Fusion.
I tried with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.
I'm working on my thesis, and i have to send to my professor the first module!!! i don't know what to do!
Any help would be appreciate.
Thank you all [:(]

I have created a course by importing PPT slides in to CourseLab2.7. The output works well in Internet Explorer 7, however same output displays the content with frame border in other browsers (FireFox, Chrome, Opera). Can some explain me how to resolve this issue?

Possibly the only way to resolve this is.....
(1) For there to be a common set of rules used in all web browser render engines.
(2)For all of those rules to be implemented in the same way
---Not going to happen is it?
It's all down to different browser behaviours, as long as people use browsers based on different engines the problem will remain, there is little you can do about it.

I have the same problem. In CourseLab everything works perfectly, but when I send post ... white window, []I see nothing ... It does not work or Scorm format or CD.

Not got a Mac to try this on, I abandoned them years ago around finder7.
I would suggest that this is a javascript issue as I have seen this reported for your general set up. One instance with Mac OS 10.7.3 (Lion), VMware Fusion 3.1.3 build 416484 running XP Pro with Firefox 10.0.2 reported online scripts worked but offline they failed.
I have heard this happening with IE8 too.
Sounds more of a VM problem.
----
You might find native booting from basecamp helps, it does free up a few more resouces and generally runs faster and cleaner.

Don't use IETESTER, it will fail on the javascripting and the pages won't load at all.

Windows in VM on a Mac.... suprised it works at all ;)
If you look at the code in the sutorun file you'll see that it is quite simple:
1. There is a document type declaration,
2. A set of CSS properties in lines 2-7,
3. A 'normal' bit of javascript to control opening the next window at a pre determined size,
4. The stuff to render the opening page from line 15 on does contain some M$ explorer specific code but should fail gracefully on other browsers and the functional hrefs still work.
Onviously not in your case though :(
Try instead opening the folder named 1 and then opening the file named start.html in the browser.
Do you see anything then??
With the normal autorun file if you select show source in the browser do you see anything??
Which browser??
Javascript in pages is enabled??
Local security ios set to be low??

Hi,
I also have similar problem with you, but my problem is when I open the autorun file and my module. All of my background (template) are gone.I created my template and save in my template file. i do not know how to do it. coz i am in a rush to publish my module in cd.

tks a lot. []

Hi Erica, this is on a Mac?
@All of my background are gone' is this all of the page components of a background image??

The objects that i used in "autoshapes" (i.e. square or circle) didnt appear after i published my module to the cd. does anyone know how to fix it. tks a lot.

Erica if you go to the drop down menu Tools and select options.
In the publicatio tab switch the save autoshapes as images will fix a few things.
Next from the drop down menu Module select update objects.
When you have published (make a copy for cd distribution) search the file structure for the background image you are using. If it isn't there then it might be worth making the bare page as a stored template, this should make the transfer of all of the components more reliable.

yes. when i publish my module. all the template that i created are all gone. i do not know why.

This is on a windows. not mac. when i publish my module the template that i designed didnt appear. i do not know why

After a billion attempts..... it seems to work!!!
With Google Chrome it doesn't work, white window...
with Internet Explorer it works!
Just to resume the situation, in order to help future Mac users...
i have VWfusion on my Mac, and CourseLab is installed on Windows side.
When I publish my course i cannot see it on Google Chrome, but on Internet Explorer i can. And if i move the folder on Mac side, it works also on Firefox.
I know that these informations are a bit confused, but i just wanted to say that

[;)] use CourseLab on Mac with VM is possible! [;)]

Thanks A LOT for your availability, and for your help. I love forum and community [:D]
Have a nice day!

Really ... Estavacom this problem and Chrome eunГЈo see anything in FIrefox envisioned ... :)

On linux like systems crossover works well and I have had courselab running with this. There is also a Mac version which might be worth looking at http://www.codeweavers.com/ the advatage is that you don't need to install windows.
Otherwise a VM should work fine but there will be variablility of function with 2.4 based modules on different browsers. The new commercial version courselab is much better cross browser.
