In fact, it is very simple, I just found out myself. Here is what you do:
Click on "Outline" in the "Slides Pane". You should see a list with the names of all your slides. Click on the name of any slide and press the <TAB>-key to indent the selected slide. This slide then becomes automatically the child of the previous slide !
