I have something that you can use for this BUT you will need to make one big module. You can then set up variables to allow navigation between the modules themselves which will only be revealed when the proceeding part has been completed.
Remember the module when run from CD only is active WHILE it is running, it does not leave any variables set on the local PC for a subsequent module to read and use. If you do want to follow this approach then you might find you can modify some flash coding that Jonathan Yanseen built. HOWEVER you really need to ensure that your potential users all have PCs that are configured the same or it could potentially fail, by the same I mean the same varient of windows, same flash player versions, same file structures, same security policies and so on...
Basically if you want to emulate the functions and functionality of an LMS then your only real option is to use an LMS.
If you have to work with CD based distribution then realise what the limitations, why they are there and how you might be able to work around them.
