In the process of creating a course (and testing individual modules with "View Module"), I get this error:

Call method: 003_textbox Constructor 'g_oSlideFame' is null or not an object

What is this, and how do I fix it?

usually Constructor method (i.e. method that creates this kind of objects) errors arise when you are trying to build object when its host frame does not exist (i.e. is not created yet or already deleted). This may happen for example if you are using actions with time delays. Please check timing of all objects on the slide where you get this error.
