Can someone tell me how to set the overall course score using the results from a test?

SCORE is the variable and it's one of the almost mandatory variables.
The result is set either as an absolute value which is set by the score you assign per question
OR
can be optionally scaled to a % of the total.
In the module settings / runtime you can switch from absolute to scaled results.

You can also set the SCORE basic parameters in the module settings dialog.
