You can use the action NAVIGATION to disable all or specific navigation elements Kevin.
It works best if you have used a template with navigation objects on it.
Also imposing an element of strict navigation can be helpful but can give you problems if you do any conditional branching through the module. This of course depends on the model you approach the learning model with.
